Getty ImagesA man from Worthing has been charged with a number of rape and sexual offences relating to three girls.
Tarek Miah, 20, of Littlehampton Road, was arrested following reports on Saturday that two teenage girls had been kept in a vehicle against their will in Midhurst, Sussex Police said.
It also followed allegations of non-recent sexual offending involving a girl in the Durrington area, the force added.
He has been charged with four counts of rape, causing a child to engage in a penetrative sexual act, causing a child to watch a sexual act, causing a child to engage in a non-penetrative sexual act and false imprisonment.
Miah is currently remanded in custody and is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
All three victims are being supported by specialist officers, according to Sussex Police.
Ch Insp Adam McCaig said: "We understand the public's concerns about these offences, and we have taken the reports extremely seriously.
"A man was arrested and has been charged in connection with two separate investigations.
"Officers have completed additional patrols in Midhurst and in Durrington in order to provide reassurance, and we encourage anyone who has been impacted by incidents of rape or sexual offences to report it."
