A man has been treated for smoke inhalation following a fire on the first floor of a house.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to a small fire at the property on Rope Walk, Ipswich, at about 00:02 GMT.

It said three crews attended and the blaze was put out by 01:15.

The man was given oxygen and was left in the care of the East of England Ambulance Service, it added.
