The Northumbria Easter Egg Run raised money for medical transport charity Blood Bikes
A total of 680 motorbikes took part in the Northumberland ride

Hundreds of motorbike riders have taken part in a ride to raise money for charity.

More than 800 people on 680 bikes took part in the Northumbria Easter Egg Run, which started at the Woodhorn Museum in Ashington on Saturday.

The riders helped raise money for medical transport charity Blood Bikes and donated Easter eggs to hospitals around Northumberland.

Liam Thompson, chairman of the events' organiser, Infidels Motorcycle Club Northumbria, said he "couldn't be prouder" of bringing the community together.

"This run marks the start of the motorbike season and it's the first run of the year for most people," he said.

After leaving Ashington, the convoy rode to Amble before travelling around the county via Acklington, Ulgham, Sheepwash, Bedlington and Cramlington.
