House fire being investigated as arson
PA MediaA house fire that emergency services spent more than four hours tackling is being investigated by police as a potential arson.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the two-storey house in Bernersh Close in Sandhurst at 05:25 BST on Wednesday.
A spokesperson said crews from Crowthorne and Bracknell were sent to the scene, along with others from Surrey, and they spent about four hours and five minutes there.
A Thames Valley Police (TVP) spokesperson said the house's occupant was evacuated safely and no one was injured.
"We are investigating this isolated incident as arson and the occupant is assisting with our enquiries," they said.
