Hundreds of homes affected by power outage
ReutersA power cut led to more than 1,795 homes in Suffolk being left without power.
UK Power Networks said an overhead cable fault was behind the power interruption at properties covering Butley, Boyton, Hollesley, Shingle Street and Bawdsey.
On its website, the firm said it was made aware of the outage at 10:24 GMT on Saturday and apologised for any disruption caused.
It added that it had managed to reconnect most buildings by diverting power remotely.
The energy infrastructure firm said it hoped to get all homes and businesses reconnected by 14:00.
Engineers on the ground were investigating the cable fault.
On Friday a separate power cut affected 114 properties in Ipswich and nearby areas.
