Work is being carried out after a tree fell on overhead lines on the tram network in Nottingham, causing major delays.

Operator NET confirmed at 11:50 GMT there was no service between Old Market Square and Wilkinson Street in both directions.

NCT yellow line buses are accepting tram tickets and passes to allow commuters to continue their journeys.

Work is currently taking place on the overhead lines at the Beaconsfield tram stop, but a cordon put in place at the scene has now been lifted.
