Police officer charged with sexual assault

A West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

PC Ben Hutchison, 26, who is based in the Kirklees area, has also been charged with common assault and assault by beating.

He is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court in relation to the charges on Monday.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said the offences are alleged to have occurred while PC Hutchinson was off duty, and confirmed he had been suspended from duty.
