Racecourse 'excitement' captured in exhibition
East Riding of Yorkshire CouncilAn exhibition documenting a year of action at Beverley Racecourse will open in February.
Seven regional photographers have captured images of the crowds, and behind-the-scenes work of the stewards, caterers, horses and jockeys.
Nick Coultish from East Riding of Yorkshire Council said the exhibition would capture the "thrill" of the races and the community and tradition that make the racecourse "so special".
Photo Finish: A Year at Beverley Races, opens at the Champney Treasure House Museum on 14 February and will run until 6 June.
The exhibition will also feature historic horse racing footage from Yorkshire Film Archive, museum documents and loans from the racecourse.
The council said it was part of their exhibition programme for 2026.
Photographer Nigel Walker said he hoped people would be able to relive the excitement of a day at the races.
"We recognised the importance of racing to the town and the historic links that were forged across much wider areas," Walker said.
