Charges have been dropped against a teenager who was accused of kidnap and the possession of a firearm in a town.

Essex Police was called to Barn Mead, Harlow at about 16:00 BST on 31 July after reports of a disturbance and the sound of a firearm being discharged.

Thomas Pasquariello, of Westmill Road in Ware, Hertfordshire, had denied kidnap, threatening a person with an offensive weapon, possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and assault by beating.

A spokesperson for Chelmsford Crown Court said the "Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence against Mr Pasquariello on 05/12/25 and therefore he was discharged on all charges".
