A high street has been closed after a fire broke out in the thatched roof of a pub.

The A360 at High Street, Potterne, is shut due to the blaze at the George and Dragon Inn, crews from Devizes fire station said.

Court Hill from Worton into the village is also closed while fire crews are at the scene. The fire service said it would likely be closed "for some time" and advised people to avoid the area.

According to Historic England, the pub is a Grade II listed building.
