Police are appealing for information after thieves stole building materials worth a five-figure sum during a break-in at a derelict property in Peebles.

The break-in, at a building on Springwood Road, happened some time between 19 December and 5 January.

Det Con Kate Loughrey said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during this time, or who has any information that could assist with our inquiries.''

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
