M25 in Essex shut after crash involving three lorries
Traffic EnglandThe M25 in Essex is closed clockwise after a crash involving three lorries caused a fuel spillage.
The road is closed between junction 27 for the M11 and junction 28 for the A12, near Brentwood.
The crash was first reported at 03:00 GMT, according to the traffic system Inrix.
National Highways said the road was likely to be shut for the rest of Wednesday for vehicle recovery and resurfacing works.
Traffic EnglandA large diesel spillage is across three lanes of the southbound carriageway, National Highways said.
Traffic being held within the closure was released at about 05:20, when one lane was opened to allow it to pass.
A diversion is in place via the M11 north to Harlow, A414 to Chelmsford, and the A12 back to London.
