Four people have been taken to hospital after two separate crashes in County Antrim on Wednesday.

Police attended a serious three-vehicle collision on the Dundrod Road in Crumlin at about 08:15 GMT, which resulted in three people being taken to hospital.

Another person was taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a lorry on the Creagh Road in Toomebridge at about 11:30.

The road was closed at the junction with Toomebridge Road, but has now reopened.

There were also a number of other crashes in County Antrim.

Two separate road traffic collisions, one involving one vehicle and another involving three vehicles, happened on the Frosses Road in Ballymoney.

A third crash involving two vehicles was also reported on the Frosses Road near Cloughmills.

And there was also a report of a two-vehicle collision on the Crankill Road, Ballymena.

Motorists had been advised to seek an alternate route for their journeys where possible.
