A dispersal order was in place on Saturday for a National League football match in Hampshire.

Police officers were granted additional powers ahead of the game between Eastleigh and Aldershot at Silverlake Stadium to keep fans and the public safe before, during and after the match, said Hampshire police.

The force said the order followed "information received concerning the potential for youth-related violence among some of those attending the match".

A second order was also in place covering the same area and timeframe - 09:00 to 21:00 GMT - allowing police to require people remove items being used to conceal their identity, such as masks and face coverings.

Dispersal orders allow officers to order a person to leave an area with no return within a specified time period.

Failure to comply with the order may lead to arrest.
