Bus drivers to hold 10-day walk-out in pay dispute
IOM GOVERNMENTBus drivers on the Isle of Man are set to take strike action later this month in a row over pay and proposed changes to long-standing entitlements.
Members of the union Unite working for the government-owned Bus Vannin will stage a 10-day walk-out from 21 February.
The union said the "all-out" strike followed the "continued failure of the Department of Infrastructure to resolve the dispute".
The government had been contacted for a response.
Bus drivers backed taking industrial action, including a walk-out, in a ballot held in late 2025.
Ongoing negotiations between the department and the union had stalled any action over the Christmas and New Year period.
The union previously said the latest proposals by the infrastructure department had included "reductions in established allowances and alterations to terms that members rely on".
Unite regional organiser Debbie Hallsall said while the drivers had "remained engaged throughout" and the opportunity to settle the dispute had been available "it has not been taken".
"The responsibility for the disruption now rests with government," she said.
The union said the action would be held on 10 consecutive days from 21 February to 3 March, inclusive.
