'Men with rifle' sought after bus damaged

Police say a rifle may have caused the damage to the bus

Police want to trace three men reportedly seen with a rifle after a bus carrying passengers was damaged.

The bus was damaged as it travelled from Doncaster Road to Black Road in Heath, Wakefield, at about 14:50 BST on Tuesday, West Yorkshire Police said.

There were no reports of any injuries to the passengers or driver. Three men were reportedly seen nearby at the time of the incident with what appeared to be a rifle.

Police said the vehicle would undergo forensic examinations to establish the cause of the damage. A force spokesperson appealed to witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
