A man has been arrested after a woman was injured in the car park of a hospital in Leicester.

Leicestershire Police said the incident happened in the main car park at Leicester Royal Infirmary at about 16:45 GMT on Thursday.

The force said the woman was being treated for her injuries and a 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving.

Police said access to the car park had been limited.
