Five charged after crash that led to serious assault
GoogleFive men have been charged in relation to a serious assault following a multi-vehicle collision.
Emergency services were called to the A38 near Bristol Airport at about 08:25 GMT on Saturday to reports that two men were seriously assaulted after the collision. They were taken to hospital, but have since been discharged, police said.
Avon and Somerset and Gloucestershire Police officers arrested five men from Birmingham and charged them with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, conspiracy to commit robbery, violent disorder, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
They were remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 23 March, police said.
Vladimir Stan, 52, Able Marin, 20, both of Palace Road, Constantin Stan, 29, of Merrishaw Road, Mihai Stan, 20, of Manilla Road and Florin Stan, 28, of Essendon Road, appeared at North Somerset Magistrates' Court yesterday, police said.
They added that a 40-year-old man was also arrested, but had been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
