A new booklet has been published to help people understand Jersey's constitution, economy, culture and environment.

The brochure, titled Jersey - a small island making big waves, was part of 48 recommendations from the Island Identity Report in 2021.

The report said an informational guide could be used by visitors, travelling sports teams and officials representing the island overseas.

It will be available at the States Greffe bookshop, parish halls and the government building at Union Street.

Deputy Carolyn Labey, Minister for International Development, said: "I am delighted with the final result.

"It will be an invaluable tool in enabling Jersey to be presented at its best internationally, ensuring a coherent narrative that reflects its identity as a small island nation."

She added: "I hope that this will help to improve public understanding of Jersey's constitution, heritage and community; foster inclusion so that all islanders feel they belong; and make better use of Jersey's autonomy to shape a positive future."
