Fire near tower block 'treated as suspicious'

A fire that broke out near a block of flats in Kent has been treated as suspicious, the fire service has said.

Kent Fire & Rescue Service attended the incident in All Saints Avenue, Margate, at about 15:20 BST on Monday.

Seven fire engines were at the scene, with crews extinguishing the fire and a high-pressured fan used to ventilate the property, a spokesperson for the fire service said.

No injuries have been reported and no residents were evacuated.
