The A82 has reopened at Drumnadrochit, near Loch Ness, after a fire in an area of gorse closed the road for almost 12 hours.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said two crews were sent following reports of a fire close to the village.

SFRS said it was alerted to the blaze just after 01:30.

A diversion of about 27 miles (43km) was in place until the section of road was reopened.
