'A lifetime of incredible stories, wisdom and experience'
A Lifetime of WisdomA new Lancashire-based podcast is giving older residents the chance to share their life stories, while enjoying a ride in a trishaw along the Fylde Coast.
Lifetime of Wisdom is run by Adam Blakey and his wife, Victoria Nicole, and aims to capture the unique stories of the older generation and allieviate any loneliness and social isolation.
"We're on a mission to showcase this remarkable generation and give them the voice they deserve, because nobody should ever feel invisible or alone," said Blakey.
"Behind every older person is a lifetime of incredible stories, wisdom and experiences, waiting to be heard."
SuppliedThe project sees people who are isolated or have mobility issues given a trishaw ride around their local area, while enjoying some fresh air and a chat.
"It is about people connecting and socialising, and just letting people tell their stories and share their wisdom," Victoria Nicole said.
One of the guests on the podcast is former cabaret singer Mildred, who was interviewed by Dan Whiston from Dancing on Ice.
She recalled how she worked with former stars of the small screen including Tommy Cooper, Little and Large, Mike and Bernie Winters, and Les Dawson.
She described the trishaw trip through the streets, while sharing her life story, as "wonderful".
"It was exhilarating," she said.
"To get people smiling, to lift their spirits. There's no price on it, is there?"

Other people featured on the podcast include Keith, who is currently in assisted living, and Paula, who has learning difficulties and called taking part "a buzz".
"There's some stories that really hit home with people, and connect with people - and that's what we're trying to achieve," said Blakey. "We want to capture those unique stories.
"Most importantly, the stories of the older generation are being heard. That's what A Lifetime of Wisdom is all about."
