It might have happened 25 years ago - but Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page says she is still reeling from a "mortifying" moment on a film set with Johnny Depp.

In an interview with The Times, the 48-year-old recalled how she and Depp shared a kiss one evening after a day of filming for the 2001 film, From Hell.

But back on set the following day, the Swansea-born actor said she then "farted in front of him", adding: "I was mortified."

Page played the character Ann Cook in the film, which was based on the Jack the Ripper murders.

Page described the kiss with Depp as "everything you would think and more".

"My breath was knocked out of me," she added.

"I phoned my mother saying: 'Johnny Depp kissed me', I didn't sleep that night."

The actress said the following day she "went to the set and, because I was squatting on the floor, all het up, I farted in front of him. I was mortified".

Page has previously recalled the same incident on Fearne Cotton's podcast, Happy Place, when she described Depp as "really sweet and really lovely".

Page also revealed that her children know she is in the 2003 hit romcom Love Actually, and confessed to having only watched it once prior to seeing it again at Christmas in 2024.

"My kids know I am naked in Love Actually," she told The Times.

"Last year my 12-year-old said, 'Mummy we've got to watch Love Actually'. I thought, I can't show them the sex stuff yet.

"Next Christmas I will probably say OK you can watch it, but we'll fast forward through the bits that you can't."

She said she had told her children "Mummy is topless in it" but said they were "not bothered".

She also described filming for the Gavin & Stacey finale, which aired on Christmas Day 2024, as "bittersweet".

"Every day I was laughing and crying," she said.

"In the read-through I had the first lines. I was in the midst of being a mum. I was still breastfeeding and thought when I open my mouth what if nothing comes out?"

She added: "I was terrified."
