Man charged over kidnap, rape and sex assault

A man has been charged with kidnap, rape and sexual assault following attacks on two women.

Thames Valley Police said a woman was kidnapped and raped near Mably Way in Wantage, Oxfordshire, on 27 January. Another woman was sexually assaulted on Cane Lane in Grove, on 21 January.

Najeebullah Arab, of Grove, has been charged with one count of kidnap, one count of rape and one count of sexual assault.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Police said the 39-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of the sexual assault of a woman on Oxford Lane in Grove on 24 January, which he remains under investigation for but has not been charged.
