Man dies after car crashes into building

A man has died after a car crashed into a building on Tuesday night.

Paramedics said they were called to Blakeley Heath Drive in Wombourne, Staffordshire, at about 22:00 GMT.

"On arrival, a man was found in a critical condition, and crews began administering advanced life support," a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said.

"Sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
