Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 22-year-old man in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to Great Junction Street at the cross road with Bonnington Road in Leith just after 02:00.

Officers say the injured man died at the scene and a post mortem examination will be carried out. His family have been informed.

Nearby roads remain closed as inquiries continue.
