Man who died after police van bike crash named
BBCA man who died after falling off an electric pedal bike when police officers attempted to stop him in Liverpool has been named.
Lain Estridge, 23, hit a stationary police van in Back Falkner Street South at 15:15 GMT on Friday and later died in hospital.
He has been named locally, as a series of tributes took place at the weekend including flowers laid at the scene and a firework display in celebration of his life.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct said it had launched an investigation into the actions of Merseyside Police and was in touch with the man's family.

"After being notified by the force, we sent investigators to attend the scene and declared an independent investigation on Friday evening," an spokesman said.
"We have contacted the man's family to explain our role.
"Our investigation is in its initial stages and a post-mortem took place on Saturday.
"A further update will be provided in due course.
"Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident."
