A festival celebrating Grimsby's maritime and seafood heritage will be returning this summer.

The Festival of the Sea will take place across the town centre and docks on Saturday 20 June.

The event, now in its sixth year, will include family friendly entertainment and activities, as well as food experiences.

Councillor Hayden Dawkins, of North East Lincolnshire Council, said the festival would "provide a showcase for our area with a leading seafood sector and local creative talent".

In 2025, the festival was awarded highly commended as festival of the year at the Greater Lincolnshire Tourism Awards.

This year's programme will feature a chance to meet the crew from RNLI Cleethorpes, a family fish quiz, and live cooking demonstrations.

There will also be arts activities and performances, including a sea shanty singalong, as well as live street theatre and circus workshops.
