Weekend A12 closures for work on new roundabouts

Overnight closures have been planned for the A12 in Suffolk ahead of the opening of two roundabouts.

The work, which is linked to the construction of Sizewell C, will be carried out on the road at Friday Street.

The A12 and the A1094 will be closed from 20:00 GMT on Friday until 05:00 GMT on Monday, both this weekend and next. Diversions will be in place.

The Friday Street roundabout is due to open to traffic on Monday, 30 March, and the next day will see the opening of the new Yoxford roundabout at the junction of the B1122.

"We recognise the inconvenience these closures can cause, and we appreciate everyone's patience," said a Sizewell spokesperson.

"These essential upgrades to the A12 will significantly improve safety and strengthen connectivity for generations to come."
