Inmate charged after staff attacked in two prisons
PAA prisoner has been charged following separate attacks on staff at two Yorkshire jails.
Ahmed Ali Alid, 47, is accused of attempted murder after an incident at HMP Full Sutton in August 2025, and actual bodily harm following a separate incident at HMP Wakefield two months later.
He has also been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in prison.
Alid will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Counter Terrorism Policing said Alid, a Moroccan national, remains in custody in the prison estate.
