Job opening for head of island cyber security

The States of Guernsey is hiring a head of cyber defence for the island.

The Guernsey Cyber Security Centre (GCSC) was announced in June 2025, to bolster the island's defences against the growing threat of cyber-attacks.

The successful candidate will lead the operational activity of the centre, the national Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) for Guernsey.

The role closes on 30 March, with the proposed pay ranging from £95,765 to £118,017.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for prioritising and deploying commercial providers in the event of a major attack.

GCSC has been staffed by a local team and has operated in partnership with the Jersey Cyber Security Centre.
