Arben Lusha was sentenced on Monday at Stafford Crown Court

A man caught with a deodorant tub filled with drugs in his car has been jailed for more than two years.

Arben Lusha, 33, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Monday after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Police said they stopped Lusha when he was driving his Citroen C4 on Christchurch Road in Tamworth on 20 November.

They said he struggled with officers, got out of the vehicle and tried to run off before being arrested.

A search of the car found 16 deals of cocaine concealed inside the tub, along with cash and several mobile phones, police said.

Lusha pleaded guilty to the offence on 5 January.

Magistrates had previously given him six penalty points and a conditional discharge after he admitted driving without a licence or insurance.
