An Easter Walk of Witness will parade through Leicester on Good Friday.

The Diocese of Leicester event will begin at the War Memorial in Victoria Park at 09:30 BST on 3 April.

A parade led by a cross will then head down University Road, Waterloo Way, Granby Street, Bishop Street, Gallowtree Gate and past the Clock Tower to Humberstone Gate West.

Along the way, the public procession will stop for readings, music and prayers, to "bear witness to the Easter message of hope, sacrifice and unity".

The event is free to participate in, and open to people of all faiths, organisers said.
