Four shotguns have been stolen during a burglary in North Lincolnshire.

Humberside Police said a cabinet containing the guns and a quantity of cash was taken shortly after midnight from a property on Paddock Close, Epworth.

Officers believe three men were involved and had travelled to the property in a blue Mercedes.

Det Sgt Anthony Stead said the incident would "understandably cause concern" for people living nearby.

"Local officers will be in the area over the coming days to offer reassurance and answer any questions," Stead said.

Humberside Police said it would conduct house-to-house enquiries and review CCTV footage as part of its investigation.

According to The National Gamekeepers' Organisation, the details of the stolen firearms are:

  • Kofs 20 bore - serial number 2103513
  • Escort 12 bore - serial number 203044
  • Browning 12 bore - serial number 38479NT
  • Laurona 12 bore - serial number 247001

Police have urged anyone who may have seen the men, the blue Mercedes or a silver Land Rover in the area at the time of the incident, to contact them.
