Motorcyclist killed in three-vehicle crash in South Ayrshire

A 57-year-old man has died following a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle in South Ayrshire.

The collision happened shortly after 18:30 on Friday on the B7024 Alloway to Maybole road.

It involved a red Honda VFR800 motorcycle, a grey Omoda 9 Noble and a white Volkswagen Tiguan.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No-one else was injured.

Sgt Neal Galbraith said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this collision.

"Our investigation to establish exactly what happened is ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch."

He asked anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to contact Police Scotland.
