A 20-year-old man has died in a crash in Derbyshire.

Police said officers were alerted to a silver Skoda Fabia had crashed through a wall in Batham Gate, Smalldale, near Buxton, shortly after 07:00 GMT on Monday.

The force said emergency services attended and despite resuscitation attempts the man - who was the driver of the vehicle - died at the scene.

It added that no other vehicles or people were involved and a file was being prepared for the coroner.
