Plans lodged for up to 430 homes and local centre
FPCR Environment & Design LtdPlans have been lodged for a development of up to 430 homes in Shrewsbury.
Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon Homes submitted a joint outline planning application for the scheme on land at Weir Hill, off Preston Street to the east of the town.
The types of housing included are yet to be determined, but the document said it is expected to include a "broad range of house types, as found within the local area."

The site is bordered by homes on the west and south, with the River Severn to the east.
Two separate access points are proposed for vehicles, from Keevil Close and Picton Drive, and pedestrian and cycle access would also be provided.
The local centre would have one or two shops for "top-up" shopping, and community space that could be used by groups, shared workspace, or meetings.
Cycle and other parking provision would be provided as part of a sustainable mobility hub.
Comments can be made on the application until 16 March.
