Four people in hospital after serious crash

Four people have been seriously injured following a two vehicle collision.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the four occupants were taken to hospital after the crash on the A3075 in Trevemper, Newquay at about 23:00 GMT on Tuesday.

Police said the collision involved a Vauxhall Meriva and Audi A4 and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information or dashcam footage which could assist with its investigation.

A road closure was in place for about 10 hours for investigation work.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, Cornwall Air Ambulance and paramedics were also in attendance.

The fire service used crash rescue equipment to release the casualties.

The incident happened near the former Rosecliston Holiday Park.
