Man charged with attempted murder after PC stabbed
BBCA 25-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a police officer was stabbed in the neck.
Soul Henry, of no fixed abode, has also been charged with burglary, possession of a bladed article and animal cruelty.
It comes after an incident in Clifton, near Kempsey, Worcestershire, on Sunday at about 19:30 BST.
While conducting searches, the female PC was stabbed before being taken to hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged, West Mercia Police has confirmed.
The force said a suspect had fled the scene, but was later found and arrested.
"Police officers are dedicated to protecting people, and to be attacked while doing their job is abhorrent," said Ch Supt Edd Williams.
"I'm pleased that the officer has now been discharged from hospital, although the outcome could easily have been very different."
