Crews work through night rescuing woman on Broads
Hemsby LifeboatCoastguard crews battled for hours during the middle of the night to rescue an injured woman in "challenging conditions" on the Broads.
Hemsby Broads Rescue said it was paged by the Humber coastguard to help the woman at South Walsham Broad at 00:20 GMT on Wednesday.
It said crews and paramedics had spent several hours trying to move the woman, who had a knee injury, after being hampered by boggy ground due to the recent heavy rain.
She was eventually moved from the bankside to a safe mooring at South Walsham, where she was transferred to a waiting ambulance. The Hemsby crew returned to their station at 03:30.
