Man seriously injured in scooter crash

A man has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash between a motor scooter and a car on a country road near Langtoft in East Yorkshire.

The 52-year-old man was travelling north on Driffield Road at about 12:50 BST on Friday when his purple Lambretta GP was in collision with a silver Audi Q4 travelling in the opposite direction.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains. The driver of the Audi is not believed to have sustained any injuries.

Humberside Police urged anyone with information to get in contact.
