Driver killed in crash on TT course named

A driver killed when his car crashed on a section of the Isle of Man TT course has been named.

Jack Sheppard, 31, died following the crash in the area of Hillberry, on the approach to the island's capital, at about 09:30 GMT on Friday.

The Isle of Man Constabulary said Mr Sheppard's family were being supported by officers and appealed for their privacy to be respected.

The force has renewed its appeal for witnesses who saw the red Mini being driven on the A18 Mountain Road to the Hillberry area, including those with dashcam footage, to come forward.
