Fire crews have been dealing with a fire at a derelict social club in Ladywood, Birmingham.

West Midlands Fire Service said it was called to the building on Ladywood Middleway at about 22:50 GMT on Saturday.

About 30 personnel fought the fire at its peak, with people nearby advised to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed.

Crews are reattending the scene on Sunday for final checks before closing the incident. West Midlands Police said it was analysing CCTV and working with the fire service to examine the cause of the blaze.
