Investigation launched after man dies in fire

The fire broke out in an outbuilding in Lancaster Close

A man has been found dead at the scene of a fire in East Kent.

Emergency services were called to Lancaster Close, Ramsgate, about 11:00 GMT on Friday, where an outbuilding was on fire.

Two fire engines were sent, with Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service also at the scene.

Just after 18:00 Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed a man had died at the scene, with the cause of the fire being investigated.
