Man, 65, found guilty of child sex offences

George King/BBCA 65-year-old man has been convicted of a string of child sex offences which were carried out over a three-year period.
Kevin Brett, of Beyton Road in Thurston, Suffolk, had been charged with seven sexual offences involving a child and one count of voyeurism.
The offences are believed to have taken place in Bury St Edmunds between January 2018 and June 2021.
Following a trial at Ipswich Crown Court, a jury found Brett guilty of all counts. He will be sentenced at a hearing sitting at Colchester Magistrates' Court on 8 May.
The charges Brett was convicted off were:
- Three counts of inciting a girl under 13 in sexual activity
- One count of assault of a girl under 13 by touching
- Three counts of engaging in nonpenetrative sexual activity with a child
- One count of voyeurism
