Murder arrest after death at residential home
Julia Gregory / BBCA man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was found dead at an independent living scheme in Surrey, police say.
Surrey Police said a man in his 60s was found by Surrey Fire & Rescue Service shortly before 11:40 GMT on Monday at Lyons Court in Dorking and pronounced dead by ambulance paramedics.
A local man in his 50s was arrested on Monday and remains in custody, the force said.
Det Insp Dom Yelling, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime team, said: "The investigation is in its early stages, and a specialist team of officers are working around the clock to establish what has taken place."
A force spokesperson says no risk is anticipated to the wider public.
Lyons Court is an independent living scheme for people over the age of 55.
The family of the man found dead has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers, they said.
