Two men have been charged after a murder investigation was launched following a woman's death in Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire Police said emergency services were called to Main Street in Milton, after 32-year-old Orinta Narbutaite was found dead at 03:12 GMT on Friday.

Donatas Noreika, 37, of Main Street, Milton, and Arturas Karvelis, 42, of Broad Street, Parkgate, Rotherham - who is also known as Arturas Bockus - have been charged with conspiring to prevent the lawful and decent burial of a body.

A 64-year-old man and 60-year-old woman, who were also arrested, have since been released without charge, the force added.

Police said the force had referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to past involvement with the victim, who was from Rotherham.

Det Insp Matt Scott, who is leading the investigation, said: "Our thoughts are with Orinta's loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

"Police and crime scene officers have been working tirelessly to establish the circumstances of this tragic incident.

"We have now charged two suspects as part of our investigation but our inquiries are still ongoing, so we'd ask anyone who has any information but hasn't shared it with us yet to please do so immediately."
