Appeal after tram driver sprayed with chemical
GooglePolice have released images of four youths they want to identify after a chemical substance was sprayed into a tram driver's face in Nottingham.
Police said the driver was sprayed with a suspected "corrosive cleaning fluid" as he exited the tram's cabin at Shipstone Street, Hyson Green, at 20:00 GMT on 5 February.
Some of the liquid went into his eye, leading to soreness and discomfort, police said.
On Thursday, four images were published by Nottinghamshire Police of the people they hope will assist in the investigation.
Nottinghamshire PolicePC Rob Garvey, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "The victim is very lucky not to have been left with worse injuries to his skin and eyesight as a result of this distressing incident. Fortunately, he didn't sustain any long-lasting injury.
"We believe the youths in this image may have information which could help us with our investigation.
"We would urge anyone who recognises any of these individuals to please get in touch."
Anyone with information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police.
