Road to remain closed after sinkhole appears
Saj PatelA residential road remains closed as utilities workers search for the cause of a sinkhole which appeared over the weekend.
The 1m (3ft) wide and 0.5m (1.6ft) deep hole appeared in Tredworth Road, Gloucester on Sunday, with a closure put in place between Hatherley Road and Nelson Street so investigations could be carried out.
Gloucestershire County Council said earlier the mains in the area will be reviewed by Severn Trent Water to see if there were any defects which could have caused the sinkhole.
The road will remain closed while investigations are carried out and the council said it would provide updates when it can.
