Mobility scooter modified to go 50mph seized

A mobility scooter modified to reach 50mph has been confiscated by police officers.

Staffordshire Police said officers seized the scooter from a juvenile in Leek on Saturday.

Incidents involving the scooter had been reported to the force recently, for nuisance behaviour and excess speeds.

Officers said the youth had no driving licence or insurance.
